Silfluo LS-622 is 1,3-Divinyltetramethyldisiloxane (Vi₂MM), a linear disiloxane with vinyl groups at both terminal silicon atoms.
The molecule contains two dimethylvinylsilyl end groups connected by a single Si–O–Si linkage.
The terminal vinyl groups participate in platinum-catalyzed hydrosilylation (addition cure) and coordinate with platinum to form Karstedt's catalyst complexes.
Used as pot-life inhibitor in two-part addition-cure silicone systems, as ligand precursor for Karstedt's catalyst synthesis, and as reactive modifier in vinyl silicone rubber and gel compounding.
