Silfluo LS-624 (commonly referred to as V4) is a highly specialized reactive cyclosiloxane. It serves as a vital building block in the synthesis and manufacturing of reactive siloxane polymers, allowing for the precise introduction of random vinyl functionality along the backbone of the silicone polymer chain.

1. Addition-Curing Silicone Inhibitor (LSR/RTV-2)

Widely utilized as an essential inhibitor in platinum-catalyzed, addition-curing two-part RTV and Liquid Silicone Rubber (LSR) formulations. When added to the crosslinker component, its high boiling point and low evaporation rate provide an extremely stable and extended working time (pot life) at ambient temperatures, while still allowing for rapid curing at elevated temperatures.


2. Silicone Rubber Compounding

Used as an advanced additive in the compounding of methyl vinyl silicone rubbers (HTV/HCR) to increase crosslink density. This modification dramatically improves the mechanical performance, tear resistance, and overall durability of the cured elastomer.


3. Vinyl Silicone Oil & Resin Synthesis

Serves as a critical reactive monomer for compounding and synthesizing high-performance vinyl silicone oils, gums, and specialty silicone resins. It allows formulators to precisely distribute reactive vinyl groups across the polymer matrix.


4. Flame Retardant Polyolefins

Acts as an effective synergistic additive in the compounding of halogen-free polyolefin fire-retardant materials, improving both flame retardancy and the rheological processing properties of the plastic.
