The quality of wind blades depends on the reliability of the various adhesives used. The use of structural adhesives with a large amount of thixotropic agents can prevent the glue from sagging on the inclined and vertical surfaces during the application process. At present, the adhesives used in this application are mainly epoxy resins, polyurethanes, vinyl/polyester resins and polymethacrylate systems. Hydrophobic fumed silica SF-B139 and SF-B208 are very effective thixotropic agents for polar epoxy resins, polyurethanes and vinyl resin adhesives. In addition, the above-mentioned adhesives can obtain very excellent storage stability and construction performance after using hydrophobic fumed silica SF-B139 and SF-B208. Hydrophilic fumed silica SF-L200 and SF-L200 are preferred thixotropic agents for polyester resins and polymethacrylate adhesives. B 711 and B 720 have methacryloyloxy functional groups on their surfaces, which can participate in cross-linking reactions, thereby further improving the mechanical properties and aging resistance of free radical-curing adhesives and gel coats.
